Tonight, I will be making my Simon and Garfunkel Chicken Noodle soup. One night in my early twenties, I came upon this name. I didn't have a lot to cook with, being fresh out of my parents house and poor. I was very hungry and decided to make some chicken noodle soup. I was jamming out to Simon and Garfunkel and throwing veggies and stuff into a pot. All of a sudden the song "Scarborough Fair" started playing and I thought, "Hey...parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme....that would go well in this soup." It tasted wonderful and from that day forward it was my Simon and Garfunkel soup. So, tonight I will be adding red potatoes, onions, fresh garlic, celery, carrots, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme and chicken quarters to organic chicken broth. Then, an hour before it is ready, I will add grandma's old fashion egg noodles. Maybe I will kick back and chill to the "Sound of Silence" while I enjoy my creation.
